PHILLY’S NEIGHBHOOD WINERY

OUR STORY

Mural City Cellars is Philadelphia’s first urban winery, committed to crafting approachable, unmanipulated wines made from grapes within a 300-mile radius of the city. Located in a former autobody garage on Frankford Avenue, our winery also features a casual bar and bottle shop. Guests can grab a bottle of wine to-go or pull up to the bar for a flight of our current Philly-made favorites, with a view of our production space.

We strive to not only celebrate the bounty of local grapes, but also the richness of the Philadelphia art scene by featuring local artists on our wine labels. In addition, $1 from the sale of every bottle of Mural City White, Rosé and Red is donated back to hyper-local neighborhood, public art and urban farming initiatives. These efforts ensure that every bottle of Mural City wine reflects the true essence of both the Philadelphia community and the burgeoning East Coast winemaking movement.

Our 300 Mile Promise

MCC is committed to highlighting the burgeoning east coat wine movement - exclusively using grapes from small growers within 300 miles of Philadelphia. We are currently working with vineyards in the Finger Lakes, South Jersey, Maryland and the Lehigh Valley.

Our 300 mile promise extends beyond grapes - sourcing everything we can as local as possible - from cheese and charcuterie, merch and more!

our Winemaking Process

We focus on making wines meant for everyday consumption - easy drinking and unmanipulated. Our wines are hand-harvested, gently pressed and minimally filtered creating fruit-forward, high acid wines with integrity and respect for the fruit and farmers who grow them.
